RESUMEN:
Este trabajo se enmarca en una investigación sobre la transformación y circulación de saberes medioambientales en las poblaciones nativas del Chaco Central (Argentina). A partir de la labor de campo realizada en una comunidad pilagá, reconstruimos la dinámica regional y local que ha afectado a la percepción y el uso del territorio tradicional, así como la manera en la que la etnología ha tratado las relaciones entre representaciones y prácticas nativas sobre medio ambiente.

Lan hau Argentinako Chaco Centralean kokatutako ikerketa baten ondorioa da. Artikuluak ingurumenaren ezagupen indigena eta honen zirkulazio eta eraldaketa prozesuak aztertzen ditu. Pilagá taldearen baitan egindako landa lanaren bidez lurraldetasunaren hautemate eta erabilera tradizionala berreraikitzen dugu, eta dinamika lokal eta erregionalak zein nolako eragina eduki duten hautemate eta erabilera horretan. Aldi berean, etnologiak bertakoen ingurumenaren inguruko irudikapen eta praktikak nola tratatu dituen aztertzen dugu.

ABSTRACT:
The present work is part of an investigation about the transformation and circulation of the environmental knowledge amongst the Central Chaco native people (Argentina). Our work tries to make a contribution to a critical analysis about native knowledge transformation and circulation through time. Drawing from the fieldwork carried out in Campo del Cielo pilagá community (Patiño Department, Formosa Province) we reconstructed the regional and local dynamics that has affected the traditional perception and use of the territory throughout the last century. We are also interested in reviewing the way in which ethnology has analyzed the relations between indigenous representations and practices on environment.
